SpeedData Pro FAQ

Find answers to common questions about SpeedData Pro, including multi-platform metadata generation, batch processing, editorial tools, keyword validation, CSV exports and contributor support.

General

What is SpeedData Pro?

SpeedData Pro is a contributor-focused platform designed specifically to help stock photographers generate, validate and export high-quality metadata for multiple stock agencies from a single upload.

Which stock agencies does SpeedData Pro currently support?

SpeedData Pro currently supports Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, Pond5 and Getty/iStock. Support for additional stock agencies is already in development.

How many credits does SpeedData Pro use?

A single generation uses one credit, regardless of how many supported stock agencies are selected.

Metadata Generation

Can I generate metadata for multiple agencies at the same time?

Yes. SpeedData Pro can generate agency-specific metadata for multiple supported stock agencies from a single upload and a single credit spend.

Can I process multiple images at once?

Yes. SpeedData Pro currently supports batch processing of up to 25 images per batch.

Does SpeedData Pro create the same metadata for every agency?

No. Different stock agencies have different requirements, formatting preferences and metadata structures. SpeedData Pro adapts content for each supported platform automatically.

What is User Context?

User Context allows contributors to add verified information that AI cannot reliably determine from the image alone. This information is prioritised and incorporated into the generated metadata where appropriate. User Context is particularly useful for wildlife, nature, travel and specialist subjects.

Editorial Tools

Does SpeedData Pro create editorial metadata?

Yes. SpeedData Pro generates agency-specific editorial captions and descriptions that follow the formatting requirements of supported platforms.

How do editorial locations work?

Editorial locations can be selected from a database containing thousands of verified locations. This helps reduce spelling mistakes, formatting issues and manual entry errors.

What happens if my location is not available?

You can submit a new location. Locations are reviewed, standardised and added to the database for future contributors where appropriate.

What is Creative Content Screening?

Creative Content Screening helps identify images that may contain people, property, trademarks or other elements that could affect commercial licensing. The feature can help identify images that may be better suited for editorial submission, and the option is given to switch to editorial before results are finalised.

What is Editorial Rescue?

Editorial Rescue is designed to identify and recover images containing missed editorial content that would otherwise be rejected by stock agencies. If you process a batch as commercial content and SpeedData detects people, property, trademarks or other elements that may require editorial treatment, Editorial Rescue allows you to add location and date information after processing without having to start the generation again.

Keywords, Categories and Exports

Does SpeedData Pro generate keywords?

Yes. SpeedData Pro generates platform-specific keyword sets, ranks them in order of importance and automatically applies the correct keyword totals for supported agencies.

Does SpeedData Pro check keyword quality?

Yes. Keyword validation includes relevance checks, duplication checks and platform-specific formatting validation to help reduce keyword spam and improve metadata quality.

Does SpeedData Pro generate categories?

Yes. SpeedData Pro automatically selects appropriate categories from the official Adobe Stock and Shutterstock category lists and includes them in exported CSV files.

What file exports are available?

SpeedData Pro generates platform-ready CSV exports for supported agencies using the correct field structure and formatting requirements.

Screening, Speed and Support

Does SpeedData Pro perform image quality checks?

Yes. Optional technical screening can identify potential issues relating to focus, exposure, contrast and image quality before submission.

Can I disable screening tools?

Yes. Optional validation and screening tools can be disabled if you prefer faster processing and already have established quality-control workflows.

Why is SpeedData Pro not the fastest metadata generator?

SpeedData Pro prioritises metadata quality, validation and platform-specific processing over raw speed. Additional checks are performed to help reduce mistakes and minimise manual editing before submission.

What happens if a generation fails?

If a generation fails and you are charged, send us the OpenAI Chat ID and we will investigate and refund the credit where appropriate.
